OK I admit it I dislike when people have to shake the box etc when I give them a gift. I just don't think this has any positive outcome for the person that has taken the time, expense etc for get you a gift. Really think about it from the stand point of the giver
1. You guess correctly and you take the joy out of the gift for the giver, they feel hmmm... what is a good word for the feeling let down, defeated, Yes the receiver now feels like they won the prize, they guessed correctly Wahoo for them, but the giver is far from feeling warm and fuzzy.
2. You guess incorrectly and the giver think Wow I guess that is what they would have rather had. Ummmm I will take that back now before you open and exchange it for waht your really wanted.
So, I don't guess at gifts and if you guess at something I give you the chances are good I will never get you another present(I am funny that way) I married into a family of gift guessers and it sometimes drives me crazy. Of course I do save a lot of money because I don't have to buy as many presents now (just kidding)
