This is for an 8 year old. I'd like a fun way to practice this skill.
Thanks!

I pulled out real money, and real change and we played store. Nothing else needed. If you can afford it you could have the child keep the correct change and put in his/her piggy bank.
When my kids hit 5th grade they volunteered in their soccer clubs concession stand. Nothing like having to make change on the spot for them to learn counting-back skills really quickly. BTW, we still do this when we are checking out someplace; I'll ask them how much change I should get back if I give the clerk a $10.07 for a $2.77 bill.

I haven't played it yet, but I'm planning on purchasing this for my 8 year old. I know http://www.lovetolearn.net/ sells this game, and probably elsewhere too.
HTH!

I agree. Let them pay for small purchases and check that they received correct change. When younger, save and put prices on packaging and make your own store. You can get play money at Wal-mart if you don't want to use real cash. Set a 5, 10, or 25 cent price on little household chores and let them earn money for doing them, adding up what they collect as they go, etc.
