I would love to know how much your juniors were able to raise their scores on the PSAT from their sophomore attempt. 10 points? 30 points?

And please tell me what you feel was responsible for the increase.

Thanks

I'd like to hear this, too! (A TON, I hope!)

OK, on the College Confidential website they say that a 100 point increase is expected on the SAT per school year. So...being that the SAT score is predicted by the PSAT x 10 would it be too far of a stretch to say that 1/10th of that would be expected as a score increase on the PSAT (10 points)? I would assume that this increase is without any extra study prep and simply a result of further schooling.

Anyone have experience here?

...by 19 points from 10th grade to 11th grade.

My son's also went up 19 points from sophomore to jr years. The increases were across the board, 5, 6, and 8 points in the three areas. He spent considerable time prepping for the math the 2nd time around and very little time on the English and Writing.

My daughter took it her 9th, 10th and 11th grade years. She increased by 8 points and then by 22 points. She only prepped a very little since her college (dual enrollment) classes were taking so much of her time back then.
