I read through Demosthenes last week and it's a story that stayed with me all weekend. The more I think about it, the more I like it. It's the story of a man who didn't seem to have natural ability, but who went down to his cellar and burned the midnight oil and practiced, practiced, and practiced some more until he got it right. He was known for being meticulous. I've not yet read the companion story about Cicero.

I had heard that Plutarch was writing about morality as much as he was writing biographies. I think that was true in the case of Demosthenes.

Plus, this is a clean story, lol. My younger boys can read it.:thumbup1:
