A person who, basically, owes money to my husband isn't thrilled I'm slowly closing the loopholes in the situation and called Hubby last night with all kinds of reasons to not have me do this, and said (put on your folksy good old boy accent for this) "I guess your wife is the second smartest woman in America, right after Hillary". It was also a cut to Hubby's manliness, as I handle the finances. Oh, I love laughing until tears come to my eyes.
It's amazing how some men are terrified of a woman's strengths.I'm saying this in general terms, because I know someone will say that Hillary is one to be scared of for other reasons...

*Snort!* I was once compared to Oprah (for whom I have great respect, but not a lot in common except a pesky weight problem!).

Good for you on starting to get control of the money situation. I remember you posting about the money demands from family etc. It is a tricky situation and needs a strong woman to do it.

See, and the smarty pants in me would have made hubby reply "Yep, and if you don't pay up, she's going to find the ugliest intern we can and lock you in a room with her. But it won't be blow***'s you get"...
But I'm just mean that way. :)

"What kind of a culture do we have when calling someone smart is an insult?"
And you know, it is odd.
