at the same time??
My girls are 5 grades apart and I can't determine which one to get A or B? I'm afraid A will be to young for my 7th grader and I know B would be too over my younger daughters head.
What is recommended for a 2nd grader anyway? Could I use A with her??

I would start SWI B with your 7th grader and wait until 3rd grade to do SWI A. I usually do SWI A in 3rd grade. If you would like to do writing with your 2nd grader you could just practice units 1&2 (key word outlines) with source texts of your own choosing or with the Articles for Notetaking (exact title?) that IEW sells. You can also do copywork, narrations, and journaling.
Hth!

I used SWIA with my 7th, 5th and 3rd grader in the spring. I didn't plan to require the 3rd grade ds to do the assignments. However, he loved watching the dvd and could hardly wait to start! So, A was fine for him and ds 5th grade. However, dd 7th grade didn't like the fact the kids on the dvd were so much younger than she.
That said, you could download the free lesson plans for SWI-A and work with your younger dd. Perhaps simply mastering Key Word Outlines and adding dress ups as they become easy. :)
My recommendation would be to go with level B. The younger child will absorb much :)
