We had some unwelcome visitor last night who thought it fun to break car windows. Got three vehicles on our street alone. Sigh.

I've swept the driveway but can't imagine how I'll get those tiny pieces out of the grass beside the driveway. Can I vacuum grass? Would that work (at least a little)? Or would it damage my vacuum?

If it's not one thing (sick dc), it's another (broken vehicle windows in the winter). I'm not sure I want to get up to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe I'll just go to Australia. :(

Oh no! Maybe a rake for the larger pieces. Car glass is often more rounded so maybe vacuuming would be ok but I would only use an old beat-up vacuum that I wouldn't mind ruining. I definitely wouldn't let the kids out barefoot though. I hope the rest of your week gets better and better.

I did this last summer, we were building in our backyard. With the wood being treated, the saw dust would kill our grass. I got the shop vac out and vacuumed it up and it worked great!

Sorry to hear about your windows!!!

Yes, I've been known to vacuum the driveway and the grass. Boys and glass bottles do not mix, lol. The vacuum survived just fine.

Were you thinking that the glass might damage the vacuum or the grass? You'll be fine with either -- though I'd use our shop vac.

I have also vacuumed glass out of grass on more than one occassion. I used a shop vac.
