Is there much overlap between the end of Horizons K and the beginning of Horizons 1?

If we don't take a break between them, will we be able to skip many lessons at the beginning of 1?

Math? We skipped a few lessons and doubled up on others.

There is overlap, but we don't skip anything. We school year round and just keep doing the next lesson, next level, cover to cover. It's good for the kids to have some "lighter" lessons, it gives them a well deserved mental break, we all need that. Slow and steady . . .

There is some overlap. Horizons K gets a little easier during the last 10 lessons. Horizons 1 reviews during the first 10-20 lessons. We didn't skip them either. My son blasted through them, but he enjoyed them because they were so easy. They gave him confidence and it just felt so smart when he was able to do easy peasy work! (I was glad for some lighter fare, which gave way to more intense studies elsewhere.) :001_smile:
