In fact, my 6 yr old is grading himself on pages he hasn't done. He is writing an F- on those pages -- in pen! Can you tell it is a grand day today at our house? Oh My! I think I am going crazy here.
Is it in the air or what? What the heck with Feb. anyway? ARGH!!!!! So far it has stunk completely and totally in all aspects.
So now, the 9 yr ds is telling me I am the best teacher he's ever had (uh, I'm the only teacher you've ever had) and how he really wants to stay home and not go to school.
Prayers, good thoughts, anything would be helpful here today!

Well last week was the pits for us. Today I had planned to just dive in and get back with the program but..... everything conspired against that it seems. So we are hitting the basics and easing our way back. I think mine are just plain stir crazy. I am. It is our first winter here and it is beyond cold. We don't even want to leave the house. I can't help but I can commiserate.

We had the flu last week, everyone but my oldest dd...so it was a rather lousy week. But we went to the zoo yesterday and I was ready for a fresh new start today. :)
House was cleaned up (no more tissue heaps or book stacks or stray game pieces or dishes in the sink) and dh went back to work and...oldest dd came downstairs with the flu.
So, did your 9yo say he wanted to go to school last week? I must have missed that. :(

I'll join the party! It must be in the air. We're taking the day off from schoolwork after hitting it hard last week to do some home-ec. READ: clean the house, wipe down every surface with antibacterial wipes, spraying Lysol, and trying to put back together the house. UGH!

Dear Melissa,
February is always long month for us. This is our 5th year of homeschooling. I have finally found a school schedule that works best for us. I shorten our summer break by 4 weeks so that we can take a week off in February, March, April, & May. Our February week off is next week, and I can't wait.
