I noticed from researching the boards your son used SL Core 200 in the past.
I was wondering if you could give your experience with it and what year you used it in. You stated in one post you called it comparative world religions or something like that. Just curious as to why you didn't follow their rec and go with 1 credit history, 1 credit bible, 1 credit lit. Hope that's not too nosey of a ?.

I have read SL 200 IG has been redone and to get a new IG. My concern with this program is it having enough teaching info to help me teach my son through issues we're new to but at the same time being independent enough that he does not have to rely on me to get started on his week's work.
I was hoping to find some info about the composition element and the literature helps available but there's not much about SL 200 on these boards.
From the smattering of the SL boards I read it seems users of SL 200 were happy with the amount of discussion prep and content overall.
I just don't get that vibe here and thought you might be willing to share your experience with it.

We're looking to move from TOG because of the immense work on my part and my having a baby soon :) I want something fairly independent in terms of direction yet still have some interesting beneficial discussion regarding what he's learning. He's actually interested and dare I say - excited about the literature choices! so that's really good. I think he could handle the pace but want to be sure elements of literature are also taught and not just assigned comprehension questions.
Thanks for listening...
Stephanie

One more question - would I have to supplement the history for the year or is it enough to validate a world history credit?
We have Spielvoge's Human Odyssey he could read through as a supplemental spine if needed.
