My legs are really dry - really early this season. Is there an oil or lotion that really helps and doesnt cost a fortune??

Coconut oil, baby! Slather that stuff on and watch your skin breathe a sigh of relief.

I got it at Walmart though, so probably not too much. It's not my style to indulge myself in anything much over $5, so it was probably less than $6. It's Oil of Olay in-shower Body Lotion. You smooth it on before you get out of the shower, then rinse it off and get out. My legs are never dry when I use this, though I think my shower floor get grimy faster because of the oils in the lotion as it rinses off.

And just the same as for any other reason I would purchase it, I always use organic, extra virgin. I don't put anything on my skin that is not edible (except eye makeup).
I buy it bulk here:

ETA: I just noticed at the bottom of the coconut oil page it says, "These pages are best viewed while sipping tea." Ha!!!

I actually prefer olive oil to coconut. Coconut oil seems to "sit" on my skin, while the olive absorbs and leaves them smooth. It's best to put it on in the shower, rinse the excess. It'll leave your shower grimy after a few times, but it's good for the skin. :)

It is a pill, not a lotion. It is sold at GNC or health food supplement stores---- Fish oil (Omega 3's) is great for dry skin. I use Nordic Naturals and I don't take any pills or supplements for anything else.

Olive oil right when you get out of the shower.

Eucerin Plus A large bottle is around 10 dollars but last a long time. My skin is very, very dry and this works. I use on my face as well, mostly in the winter.

The Foil Hat's shea butter. Amazing stuff.
And also, since using her soaps and scrubs along with the shea butter, I don't get the winter crazy dry itchy leg thing anymore!

Use Nair, or have your legs waxed. I made that switch this year, and the difference has been huge.
I used to scratch my legs so much in my sleep that they would bleed.
I used Cetaphil on them every day, but they were still always dry and itchy. Waxing is expensive, but for me it has almost become a medical necessity.

Pure Shea butter!
I buy it by the pound so it's not that much and it lasts a LONG time.
I get it whipped so it's easy to apply then I'll ad in a couple drops of essential oil. I love that soft feeling right out of a hot shower!

Grapeseed oil is a very light oil and absorbs well.

I love Aveeno lotion - I get it at Costco - it is totally absorbant and unscented. I only sometimes want scented lotion, and then it is Victoria Secrets Garden (all sorts of scents) body butter
