View Full Version : Tags - wouldn't it be nice if we could see who posts these?

maybe I'm too sensitive, but really how does it make someone feel good to post a neg tag on a post? Tagging IRL isn't nice, I hope they will be nice here.

I think the mods have fixed negative tags with the 24 hour ban for tag abuse.

Thanks good to hear - I'm just wondering where that line is, again maybe my line is different than others, but sheesh - I just think, if a person doesn't like a thread - Don't read it....

I understand!
My thread.... which was perfectly innocent... got the MEANEST tags.
My feelings were hurt!
I just couldn't believe how rude whomever did it was being!

I am SOOO glad that the moderators cracked down on it so quickly.

It'd be amusing were it not so pathetic. I'm sorry your feelings were hurt and glad the nasty tags were removed from your thread.

Yeah, one wonders. There's no reason your thread remarking on your "lack" of friends (a problem now remedied, I imagine:)) should be tagged as whining. (Btw, the comic in me had to counter and tag it "not whining":D.) No thread (including mine wherein I expressed confusion about the new features) should have that tag because it serves zero purpose other than to boost some coward's paltry self-esteem. Don't let it get to you, Chris.

Where exactly are the tags? Is a tag that little "warning" symbol on the upper right-hand corner when we post something? Or, is it part of our signature line?

I'm still unclear what a tag is. Could someone please describe and define it for me? (Whispering here because I'm feeling incredibly stupid asking this question!)

If you move your mouse over the little blue tags on the upper right part of the post, you'll see some words such as "politics" or "preschool", etc. Not all of the posts have tags. Some people were adding tags to posts that were just plain mean and stupid. Hopefully, that has come to an end. HTH-

Well said Colleen! It makes me think - I posted that late at night, not entirely as serious as it came off - I usually don't let my guard down quite so much....... Nor do I go for the pity party thing - at least not publically :001_smile:
But then again if I had to wait until I'm all sweetness and light to post only positive uplifting feelings...... let's just say I wouldn't have 900 posts:001_smile:
So my solution is to ignore the tags----- they don't exist----- what tags???
I have self-delusionment (is that a word?) down to an art form, just ask my family,
