Ds(12) ran into a truck yesterday

He said he was walking backwards talking to some friends. One kid said they were going to get him, so he turned to run(not realizing the truck was right there) and ran full speed into the tail light! He hit it so hard it knocked his contact out and broke his bottom front tooth!! Luckily his contact landed on his hand--he has a black eye and we have to make a dentist appointment for next week!

Our Neighbors felt so bad..they rarely park on the street. I told them it wasn't their fault, he wasn't paying attention.

I hope both of you feel better soon. I'm sure he learned a good lesson and he'll be more careful from now on. I know it's stressful, but most kids have at least a few big accidents growing up.
