I just read that he is officially supporting Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution party for president.

I'm still not sure who I'm going to vote for, but I have been a Ron Paul fan and like a lot of what I've read about Chuck Baldwin. Just wanted to share this because I know there are a lot of Ron Paul supporters here.

Thank you. I've been adamant about writing him in, but can't do that here, so I'm having to really weigh my options. This is good to know.

When I first learned about Ron Paul last fall and was researching him on the Internet, I thought that all of the religious community leaders would obviously be in support of him. Boy, was I wrong. (Still can't understand why they didn't support Ron Paul.)

Chuck Baldwin was about the only major religious leader I found who supported him. I have read a lot of Baldwin's articles online, and I like him. If he makes it on the ballot here in PA, I will probably vote for him.

Thanks for bringing his name up.

After DH came home from being overseas, he promptly talked me out of voting for McCain (though in my heart of hearts I'm still torn). So this family will be voting Baldwin.:tongue_smilie:

Unfortunately, it does not help me at all. While Chuck Baldwin sounds like a great guy, I can not support his party. I am not impressed with Barr at all so right not I am looking into Nader but if I can not support him then it looks like for the first time in 20 years, I won't be voting at all. I can not in good conscious vote for the lesser of any evils as the results would still be evil. I am finding this political season to be very discouraging.

I like a lot of what the Constitution Party says ... and i certainly favor pulling the government back to following the Constitution as much as possible. However, not being Christian, I can't help but feel that the leadership of the party really doesn't represent me. I can get behind much of their platform, but not their very clearly stated belief that this is an explicitly Christian nation. Although they state that they uphold the First Amendment ... this cuts it too fine for my comfort.

Ah, well. At this point, I'm likely to be stuck with McCain. Anxiously watching the bailout saga, and waiting for the debates ...

...but can't do that here...

I had no idea. Thank you for saving me a great deal of anger and frustration by mentioning this. :001_smile:

Yes, Peek alerted to the fact that it would have to be an "approved" write in candidate or they will throw out the ballot. GRRRRRRR. What's the point of a write in, I ask you?
