Feb 18-25? I haven't sold on eBay yet, but I was planning to start this spring. Looks like the strike idea is gaining a lot of momentum. Here is a website (http://money.cnn.com/2008/02/07/smbusiness/ebay_boycott.fsb/index.htm?postversion=2008021009) with info and links. The YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23TomS5--nQ) is interesting.

Sorry, not an ebay user (two purchases since eBay began a long time ago do not make me an ebay user..)

No, I bowed out of ebay after there was some scam going on because someone hacked into some peoples info and started bogus sales. And I had a 100 percent good rating, too, and even sold things to buy more homeschool supplies. I'm not planning to go back.

no idea about the strike. I like to buy on EBAY but have never sold on it. I can certainly feel for the sellers with the new feedback rules, which are stupid because many times new buyers are really stupid (comments such as I didn't know shipping would be that much, even though shipping cost was stated on the listing; I didnt know item was used, even though item said USED). Of course most buyers are fine, but some are crooks and to not allow the sellers to rate buyers seems unfair to me and I'm only a buyer myself.
Not planning on boycotting though!

I read the article and watched the video and it only made brief mention of the feedback changes. This is what would concern me the most. Anyone know anything more about this?

Here's a link (http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/new.html) to eBay's explanation of the feedback changes.

Here's a link (http://pages.ebay.com/sell/update08/basic/index.html#insertion) to eBay's explanation of their changes to the fee structure. (Note: they emphasize lower insertion fees, but if you scroll down you will see that their commission charges on sales have increased significantly.)

ACK!!! Ebay strike??!!

I LOVE Ebay! I usually just buy, but I sell a bunch of school things every summer.

I need to look into this . . .

My world is crumbling

Heh. I make my living on eBay. I'm furious about the feedback changes, but boycotting would mean giving up 80% of our income. I kind of feel like I'm crossing a picket line.

No, I am not joining the strike. I have not had any problems.
