As I was making the assignment sheets this morning, I was sorely missing having a schedule all laid out for me. (I used SL last year and enjoyed the schedule but didn't want to use it again for other reasons.) The whole process of assigning reading and history and writing on all levels was taking up my entire Saturday morning. Plus, I had a chat with 19yodd who was laughing at me for being perfectionist about not wanting to read SOTW out of order.:glare: Leave it to those adult children to say it like it is. So, I'm going to try Biblioplan Medieval as written. I have nothing to lose.

Do those of you who have used it have any pointers?

Thanks for the update! I didn't realize when replying before that you have 12 children--this makes a difference! I think it's probably a good idea to try Biblioplan as written--we're doing Medieval this year too! I just do as many books as I have time for and call it good. If you're doing SOTW, maybe you can leave out the other spine readings in Kingfisher. That would save some time. I don't have any other concrete suggestions at the moment.

Luann, you might want to check out the high school supplement for your older dc. It is available as an e-book, which is less expensive than the print version. :001_smile:

Luann, I just was going through the same thing....What I finally decided was I am going to use the audio book....and just put the chapters in Biblioplan order...Kind of fool myself. :D I can always do the activities and test pages etc out of order. It was just reading a BOOK out of order that drives me nuts. UGH! I can be so anal sometimes. LOL

Oh well...good luck and I hope I like Biblioplan this year. It is my first time using it.

Thanks, Lisa. I do have it. Our older dc are happy (and busy!) with thegreatbooks.com. I don't dare mess with a good thing.

Thanks for telling me! :) It's a relief, for some strange reason, to know I'm not alone in my analness (not sure that's a word). Let us know how using Biblioplan goes. I nearly used it last year, but changed my mind at the last minute, so this is my first year, too.
