I'm so tired of chips 'n dip at our weekly small group! LOL

Does anyone have some great recipes for appetizer / finger food snacks that are 1) easy to make, 2) portable, and 3) can be served at room temperature. Our group usually eats after our meeting, so food sometimes waits a couple of hours on the table. Crock pots are fine, so those recipes are great, but please avoid dishes that are best going straight from oven to table.

I can't wait to see what y'all come up with! TIA

My contributions:
Little Smokies wrapped in crescent rolls, yum!
Fruit (always a hit, many variations)
Sandwich wraps with flour tortillas, cut into small servings
Veggie plate with dip
Spinach dip with rye bread (recipe on Knorr's Vegetable box, does need refrigeration but oh so good)

Cindy in Japan posted a recipe for Shrimp Wonton Cups on the old boards. Very yummy. And fortunately I found the recipe on the web so I don't have to retype it! Look here (http://www.recipezaar.com/83255).

I get a lot of requests for this recipe when I take to gatherings. Just serve this with sliced french bread or crackers of some kind.

Brushetta:

15 roma tomatoes. (I usually use about 3-4 regular tomatoes as I can't buy roma)
1/2 C. fresh basil (you can use less dried basil if you like. just add to taste)
1 red onion finely diced
3 Tblsp. olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

optional add fresh grated parmesan cheese to taste.

Enjoy!

Mexican Cheese Snacks (from the Bisquick Cookbook)

1 1/2 cups original Bisquick
1/4 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies, drained
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)

Heat oven to 400. Grease cookie sheet. Stir Bisquick, sour cream, egg and chilies until blended. Stir in cheese.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

NOTES:
We usually serve these at room temp. We have also substituted pepper jack cheese for 1/2 of the cheddar cheese.

DH thinks they would be good with some spicy sausage. If you want to add that, then brown the sausage before adding.

I feel sure that you could substitute whatever baking mix you use (Pioneer or homemade, or another brand for the Bisquick).

Serve bruschetta on a small baguette thinly sliced on the bias. Top with those little tiny mozzarella balls. YUM!
