I need to do laundry & clean my room while 1yo sleeps, but...I need a cup of coffee. And I can't drink it while changing sheets. So then I'll sit here *just while I drink my coffee*...& you know how that goes. Give a mouse a cookie & all. (ooh...a cookie...hmm...)
So if we do it together...I'll have a cup of coffee & a nice chat w/ you all as my reward? Which means I need a good kick if I'm still here after I hit submit.

My recent goal: cheap plastic stuff. You don't regret getting rid of it, you won't miss it, and it usually smashes down in the trash. Downside: repeatedly telling 6 year old to get his hands out of the trash can.
UGH DDs have been looking at the toy catalogs and making their wish list for Santa....I told them Santa won't bring it if there's no room for it. So we decided to clean out their toys. With them in the room, we got rid of maybe a shoebox full. I can guarantee Santa ain't bringing a 3-story doll house until some more $h1t is gone. He also ain't bringing babydolls and doll bunk beds until there's a place for the dollies to sleep.
So, today I'M decluttering (that does sound SO much better than throwing away) the toy room. ALL. BY. MYSELF. I'll put it in a box in the garage, with the date on it. If they don't miss it in 1 month, it's outta here. PERIOD. :chillpill:

Can you have Santa write a note to dh? He found a really cool electric train set for FREE. It's the real-looking kind, but BIG. He's SO excited, & you can't walk in our closet any more for all the stuff like this that he has found/bought. *I* am in charge of finding cheap stuff ahead of time. Ds already HAS a HUGE train set. I. don't. care. if. it. was. FREE.
The letter doesn't have to say that *verbatim,* perse.

Sheets are changed, 4 loads of laundry is drying, last week's clean laundry is put away, & the computer screen that's been needing a home for 8mos now has one, & it's not where babies can break it, & it's not cluttering a closet.
Now I'm cleaning out my desk, but baby's starting to grunt or something in his sleep. It's like the count-down to wake-up time. I guess I should brew coffee while I can!
I seriously need to get some things done. But my three are sick today and pathetic...and squabbling cause they feel miserable. So as soon as I start something, a fight or crying seems to break out. :crying:
Not getting much done.
I'll go start a load of laundry, that should be possible.
And maybe load the dishwasher.
But I don't want to push my luck.

Just make sure you don't nurse that baby with caffeine in your system :willy_nilly::willy_nilly: You really don't want that

Well, I was going to start working on getting our school stuff in order while my kids were (not) sleeping, but I decided to read my Bible study instead. My sister, her 4 kids and my parents arrive tomorrow for the girls' baptisms and baby's dedication on Sunday - woo hoo! But, the decluttering I was going to do involves some largish baby things like an exersaucer and swing that we will need to keep in the house since the twinlings are coming.
I SO need to declutter. I told the girls when they got Playmobil for their birthdays that the Barbies were going to have to go, and they are all still here. I would like to get rid of those, the Polly Pockets, the Groovy Girls, and the monster-sized doll house that we don't have room for. We have no good place to store the Playmobil - except the dining room table which we will need for actual eating this weekend. Thankfully the baby is starting to outgrow the larger things but there is still too. much. crap. in my house. I am going to try to get some things sorted out tomorrow. I need to have my organizer friend come back and help me again. Sigh.

Well, if he's sensitive to caffeine like Emma was, prepare yourself for hours of non-stop screaming. :D Apparently he's not though so you should be OK.

I sold $42 worth of books to the local used shop and still had five boxes of books and one box of junk for Goodwill. (Then I got home and found 3-4 more boxes of stuff).
I think that in effect I've been hoarding stuff. I'm really working on weeding out the semi good in favor of the great. And I keep telling myself that something good will find someone who values it. I don't have to find the right home for everything.
Today in favor of my youngest's birthday, we're having a giant craft day. I'm planning on having some stuff used up/sorted out/given away at the end of the day.

Ladies! I am willing to start the decluttering thang back up. It has been so crazy lately with school starting back up, hurricanes, getting caught up on all of the seasons of LOST :D...But count me in! I'll start posting on Monday and show progress on my blog.
