Ahhh, homemade pizza dinner by my 13 yo & 10 yo. And they didn't even squabble (much). Usually, my 10 yo bails out on such projects but not today. He even helped clean up some. And boy, was he proud of his pizza skills. :o)

Ah yes, He said it was almost as good as Pizza Hut, and in our family that is high Pizza praise. At least I know my kids won't starve to death when they are on their own. (maybe ;0)

each child picks a night of the week. They all go to the grocery store and pick out what they need for that meal. Now dont get me wrong it's nothing fancy. My oldest son 16 makes spagtti and my middle daughter makes Yakasoba. And the little guys make turkey and cheese sandwiches or frozen pizza's , something real easy. It takes the burden off me while my hubby's away.
Now if i could get the to help me clean the house more.

What is Yakasoba? That's a great way to make your kids feel like they are helping out while dad's away. And yeah, I might really faint if my children actually volunteered to help with house cleaning beyond what they are expected to do.

It is mainly noodles with veggies and you could eat meat or not.
We love it!
We live in Japan by the way. I think you can buy it in the states not sure.
