I was just wondering what other 5th grade daily schedules looked like.
Thanks

I teach my fifth grader alongside my third grader--but I require different things from each. We have no set time for any particular lesson--though, sometimes, if things are taking too long, I close the books and tell them they have homework. Then we can move on to something else!

Our schedule for my 5th grader:
9am Bible study
9:30 I go over all his math, Latin, language arts, logic with him
10:15 he does his math, Latin, language arts assignments and typing
11:30 we do science together
12:00 lunch
1:00 I do his Sonlight read aloud with him and go over his assignment for Sonlight, then he does the assignment on his own, though he does need my help finding the info he needs on World Book
2:00 school is finished
He does his Sonlight reader whenever he can fit it in.
This is our 'ideal'. We rarely are actually running on time because I have 3 other dc who need my attention. Today we took a long lunch break to bring a picnic to the beach and let the kids run around, so he didn't finish until about 3:30.

We also do not have a "set schedule" as far as time goes.
I do have a lesson plan for the day, that I do on the Hometracker Software. It lists what subjects we will do, what pages, etc.
My son has some things he does on his own, either when he wakes up before everyone, or during times I am working with my 5 year old.
On his own things:
Cursive practice
Wordly Wise Vocab
Required Reading (usually a book that correlates to what we are doing in History)
Daily Reading (just for fun reading)
Math (Teaching Textbooks)
Marine Biology (Apologia Swimming with Creatures), although I work a little with him on this depending on the assignment.
Things we do together:
Prima Latina
K12.com History
US. Geography
Growing with Grammar.
If we crack the books and get going on a good day, we are done in three hours, although he might still have reading to do later in the day. As someone else said, if there is something that is taking him to long to do (usually a picture or written narration for history), that is going to be his "homework' that must be done before he has free time, and we move on.
Both my son and I are "schedule-oriented" so although there does not have to be set pattern, we have kind of fallen into a pattern of what subjects we do first, etc.

I'm hoping to make Fridays Science Day with no writing, grammar, or software requirements.
Also, I'm hoping to get back to reading to the kids. We've been reading the Lamplighter books which are wonderful.
I need to add in dictation! Alas, how to get it all done!

this year, because my ds 5 cannot seem to entertain himself and let the older ones work, and my dd 2 wants to hang out with us as well. It's been challenging.
Here's what's working best so far:
9-9:30 Daily walk around the neighborhood together
9:30-9:45 Piano practice
9:45-10 Bible Study
10-10:45 Math
10:45-11:15 Science or History Reading (2 days each)
11:15-11:30 Written narration for science or history
11:30-11:45 Break
11:45-12:30 Vocabulary, Grammar, Dictation or Copywork
12:30-1 Literature Reading
1-1:30 Lunch (I read poetry selections or do read aloud)
1-1:30 Anything extra (lapbooking, timeline or science experiments)
1:30-1:45 Piano Practice
1:45-2 Study AWANA Verses
Some time before bed my 5th grade dd (and 4th grade ds) need to do a ten minute typing lesson and 15 minute Rosetta Stone German Lesson. They can do this whenever they want.
We do school 4 days a week.
