I have several friends doing the Veritas classes, but their subjects are not what I am looking for. I'd like literature, science or writing, (Veritas' writing includes grammar). Anyone know of a good source?

Thanks!

Have you looked at Oak Meadow? I believe they have online stuff. And there's a great school down in Baton Rouge that does online stuff for about that age and up. The upper level classes are Regina Coeli, but I can't recall what the lower level classes are called. I think you can find links from that website, however.

I haven't used either, but have heard good things about both.

For writing we use Home2Teach (http://www.home2teach.com). We love it here!

I have heard of Potter's School (http://www.pottersschool.com/), but haven't used them.

That was a big help. I've been having fun perusing the sites.
