I need to order one today. I need to stay under $200 for sure. I'd prefer to do a metal bind, but would take a sturdy plastic bind. It's for math workbooks, so they will need to be able to take heavy usage.
thanks!

The Circa (http://www.levenger.com/PAGETEMPLATES/NAVIGATION/Products.asp?Params=category=326|level=2|pageid=17 49) binders are all the rage right now on the board. Worth a look! And here is a 20% coupon (http://www.retailmenot.com/view/levenger.com) for Levenger. Here (http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51844&highlight=circa) is a thread about what people ordered, etc.
Also, here (http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38181&highlight=binding+machine) is a post by elegantlion, reviewing the binding machine she bought.
Neither one is metal binding, but hopefully it will give you a few ideas!

The Bind-it-all is an expensive metal type of binding machine. The machine is small - you move your stuff down the row to get it punched. I have one and it works well.

I also have the circa and love it! (and some others....), the pro-click system is still on my list to get! LOL!!
