View Full Version : Dd has an earache. I put garlic oil in it, like we usually do.
It helped a little. I put peroxide in it and some homepathic ear pain medicine. She has a heating pad on it. What else can I do? It has not burst, just feels full like water is in it. She's 13, btw.
Thanks!

I don't know if you have them in the US, but I use a medicine called Auralgan. It works wonders for taking away the pain of an earache. You just warm it up a bit and drop in the ear. I've heard the best thing for earache is also to put bre*stmilk in the affected ear... but looking at the age of your children, that doesn't seem like it would be an option for you. :p
You're doing everything else that I would do.
Oh wait! I wouldn't put heat. I read somewhere NOT to do that. Although it does make the pain feel better, heat actually aggravates the inflammation in the ear. Cold is better, but less tolerable. :(
things up. She said her ear was popping and the pain was going away, so maybe we figured it out. I guess we'll know in the morning.
