I'm considering this for my dd and would like to hear some opinions from those who have used it. Thanks so much :)

Tried it for kindergarten.Dd is very shy about singing out loud and wouldn't participate.I gave it up after about 2 months. We had much better luck with outside music classes and music appreciation.

I actually used it last year. It is a very good program and I do think you need the cds. It is not as "technical" as Abeka. I found it easier to teach. But, it is a music class. It does teach theory which I find difficult to teach. My dc enjoyed the music appreciation part and did learn some thing from it. Is it worth the cost?? Not for us. I bought it used and purchased the cds from BJU. It really wasnt worth the cost for what we did. So, I guess it depends upon what you want to do with it.

That's where I'm at right now - it seems expensive for what I would like to use it for  I want something that can help me teach the basics of learning to sing, music theory and reading music (I can sing but I don't know the first thing about teaching a child how to sing!) I don't really need it for music appreciation, just the mechanics of voice training, I guess. Is there anything else available that teaches this kind of stuff? I'm not even sure where to look

when I asked about it recently. I'm planning on using it for my dd next year (K age). Looking over the review, I'm not sure if it will have the singing instruction that you want.

I have looked at this but I'm looking for a curriculum that goes year-to-year, not just something for one year. But it sure does look good! :)
