Refrigerate cream cheese icing or not?

I made a carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Would you refrigerate it or not?

I would. Wait, is it homemade icing? If so, yes; if not, no. :)

I refrigerate it if it's going to be store for a while, if it's going to be eaten within a few hours (or even that day) I don't. HTH

I find that if I leave it out, the frosting gets a little funny. You could take it out of the fridge about a 1/2 hour before you serve it if you want the frosting to soften a bit.
