Is anyone canning today?

I bought tomatoes & peppers from the Farmer's Market, I'm waiting for dh to smoke the peppers, onions and garlic for Chipotle Salsa that we love to make.

YES! Applesauce mainly today. Peaches, pears, and a gadzillion tomatoes are waiting patiently...

I took a break while the apples are cooking.

No, no and no. :) I'm soooooo done with canning for the year!!!!! I hope you have fun canning, though. It is so satisfying to see all the cans lined up on the shelves when you're done.

Are you trying to make me feel guilty? I'm not right now, and I should be. My project for today is to get the kitchen cleaned and pretty so I can spend all day tomorrow canning. Roasted red pepper sauce, jalapenos, and banana peppers are on my list.

I really did not want to can this year. We did not can last year because we moved, but dh really wanted fresh homemade salsa, so I'm just doing it to please him.

Salsa and tomato sauce today. I'm also picking blackberries and drying peaches.

Next I'll be looking for something to do with WAY too many hot peppers.
