love the digital SLR kind, but maybe too pricey for right now. Do you like yours? What kind is it?

I love my Canon Power Shot S3IS. It has 12x zoom, which is great for shooting the kids' soccer games.

I just bought a new digital camera for my birthday. I had an old Sony from 7 years ago that I loved. I purchased a Canon Powershot IS2 or something or other, but it sucked. My dh just tore it apart to make it work, but now it's in the trash. We won't buy another Canon.

It was between the Sony W150 (http://www.jr.com/sony/pe/SON_DSCW150B/) and the Panasonic Lumix TZ5 (http://www.jr.com/panasonic/pe/PAN_DMCTZ5A/). I picked the Panasonic because it has a 3 inch 480,000 pixel screen and it takes great pics. Well, so far. The reviews on it on all of the digital camera sites are wonderful.

I have a Fuji S9000...I love it, but there is a learning curve to it.
I have considered getting a Canon Power Shot IS series camera as well, but have to wait till the Kodak dies or we give it to the kids.

I don't know if you want to move up to this but look at a Nikon D40. No pause before taking pictures...

I *love* my Kodak -- but that doesn't mean much. It's my first and only one, so I'm just happy to have moved into the 21st century. :D

We've had two canon powershots(one was stolen) and they take amazing pictures.
