Question about Sonlight Science 5 (anatomy)

This is the first time we've used Sonlight and we are just using the science portion. One of the resources is "The Human Body" Reproducible Activities. My question is this: Today, for example, we were assigned page 73 of The Human Body on body tissues. My ds is supposed to identify the different types of tissues. However, there hasn't been any teaching on these types of tissues! How is he supposed to fill in the blank and know which one is epithelial. Yes, I can look in the back for the answers but where is the teaching part. It doesn't help if I just give him all the answers to the blanks. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I had the same questions when we ran across that page...and others, there WILL be others. :D

Well, if you look in your IG they make a note of this book and tell you how best to use it. In my IG, it is on page 1 of Section One under the heading About the Books Your Child Will Study. We were very disgruntled at first with this book as well, but after finding this description and realizing that we were not missing something, or reading the wrong edition of a book, it's now not so stressful; my son fills in what he knows, researches what he can't figure out, then we go over the rest. It's making him think that's for sure. ;)
