View Full Version : Grammar questions...

Right now, my daughter is doing FLL--we are on Lesson 118.

My son is doing R&S3. We're on Lesson 19.

I can't see my daughter doing R&S3 next year--there will be too much repetition. So far, they have been covering more or less the same material week by week. (Weird but true).

I plan on doing Classical Writing with my son. We haven't even started Aesop A, yet, and already I'm looking ahead--but there are several reasons for this:

1) if I do want to purchase R&S I must do it in April at our annual convention.

2) If I want to do Harveys Elementary grammar (as I probably would with CW's Homer--integrating grammar and writing is really important to me.) then, I want to be prepared but I don't want to repeat a whole lot. My son remembers everything--even if he does forget to "do" it.

So, my questions are these:
1) Do I want to continue with R&S3 for my daughter (since we have the text) or switch to FLL3? She is a "sociable sue" and loves the interaction with FLL.

2) Will I want to do R&S4 with my son before we start with Homer and Harvey? I am not strong in grammar at all. Beyond simple parts of speech, I really don't have a clue. The term "predicate" was new to me!

I have looked at all sorts of grammar programs: last year it came down to GWG and R&S. None of the others appealed. (And FLL3 was too new!)

Thanks for any help!
