If money were no object and you could go to any concert, who would you want to see/hear?
Mine would definitely be Ricky Martin as a first choice. It should probably be something more "refined" or dignified - but I just adore his voice!
Benise would be a close 2nd
Julie Andrews when she could sing would have been a top pick too. Or maybe Il Divo?
I would love to hear what you guys like now!

The real Guns N Roses. I would seriously consider selling my children if that were to ever happen.
Dh is a parrot head. I don't remember what kiddie fans are called, but mine are those. Dh has been to 2 Buffett concerts this year. For work. I want his job.

Yeah, I'm kinda over the coliseum-style concert. BTDT, too many times. I'm old now--can't take the crowds or the noise level. ;) But give me a pub, or a place like the Birchmere (http://www.birchmere.com/)? Oh, I'd love to see folks like Old Blind Dogs, Natalie McMaster, Bela Fleck...pretty much anyone they've got there. It's magical.

Boston Camerata. Ahhh, bliss!
And if I could go back in time, I'd hear Robert Hale & Dean Wilder.
And the American Boychoir, naturally. ;) Especially with the NY Philharmonic. Nice.
Oh, and now that Ralph Stanley has endorsed a certain Senator, I'll be even more eager to go hear him while I still have a chance to do so. I do love me some oldtime bluegrass!

I would love to see Blue October and Muse if I didn't think I would look entirely too old to be there. And my kids are too young to go to concerts so I couldn't even take them and pretend I was just an uninterested chaperone!
I would also love to take my girls to see Daughtry, but again, I think they are too young. My 6 year old with autism absolutely LOVES Chris Daughtry --- she even made a Mii of him on our Wii! LOL
As for the older groups from my youth, I'd love to see Queensryche, Motley Crue, Metallica, Def Leppard... someone mentioned Guns N Roses and that would be amazing! At least at those concerts, I wouldn't seem as out of place! :)

Matchbox 20 is great in concert! We saw them with Train opening.
Garth Brooks (yeah, but I hear he puts on a great show)
I've never been to a "real" Garth Brooks show, but I he did do a few songs at the Grand Ole Opry when I was in Nashville with 499 other Girl Scouts. He was supposed to have left town that day, but he stayed just for us!:D

I wish I could have seen the Beatles.
I still have not seen U2 - would dearly love that. I'd also like to see Spock's Beard and Porcupine Tree. I'm interested in LA Guns with Marty Casey as their new singer. I'd love to see Dar Williams, TMBG, and the Barenaked Ladies.
My faves to go see whenever I can are the Hooters and Def Leppard, for totally different reasons. Hmm. And Yes, and Rush. I used to always go see INXS.
But I'll go see just about anyone. I love live shows. I've seen lots.

Ozzy.
Oh man - I would have loved to see Ozzy, back in the day before I had to make myself stop listening to most of this kind of music. :D
I've seen Bon Jovi - New Jersey tour, I was in high school, so now you know how old I am. ;) They were fantastic. I have wanted to see them in recent years but it's never worked out. Plus now Jon has short hair and Richie Sambora has not aged gracefully... it might be too depressing.
Saw Def Leppard after Steve Clark died. One armed drummer and all. They were fabulous too.
Saw Phil Collins with dh. Great show; he's not really my thing but I did enjoy it. We were in the 2nd row.
I've seen Elton John twice - once with his full, glitzy show, and the other time with just a percussionist and Elton on the piano. That was probably the most incredible show I've ever seen. I spent more time watching the percussionist.
It's a toss up for my favorite shows - Journey (with Steve Perry) and the Eagles. I've seen the Eagles twice and would gladly pay a lot of money to go again. And, if Journey ever toured with Steve Perry again, I would be there. Period. I would cancel vacation and Christmas. :D
If I could see anyone, it would be Elvis - before all the drugs and crap.
Radiohead sounds good to me BUT if I could see/hear Dawn Upshaw and then the most awesome muezzin maybe in the same concert, I think I would weep. I weep when I listen to Songs of Sorrow (Gorecki) with Dawn Upshaw singing anyway... Time-Travel choice? Bela Bartok playing his First Piano Concerto. - Jill in ND
edit: I shouldn't get thinking about this stuff! there's not enough microtonal music in my life so the openers for the concert would have to be Kraig Grady (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraig_Grady) on some instruments of his making and then the Fiery Furnaces.
