If I don't do general science and physical Science in Jr. High can I still use biology, chemistry exc. in HS?

Apologia's General and Physical Sciences are NOT prerequisites to the rest of their courses.

Though I must say, ds didn't like them and we are using Conceptual Physics instead of Apologia this year.
