Thank you

CLE math 7, we are almost done, then I'll let my oldest do Lial's Basic math before Chalkdust Algebra. He is not very strong in math. My other boys will do CLE math 7 , then on to Chalkdust Algebra.

Prior to 7th we were using Math U See and have found it to be both effective and enjoyable. This year we switched to LIfe of Fred, dd12 is currently working on decimals, then moving on to LOF Algebra.

We occasionally supplement with www.mindsprinting.com It's a great, free resource that I learned about from these boards. My mom has since started using it to supplement my dsis13(afterschooling), but it would work well as a full math curriculum.

We are using 7th Bob Jones for our dd 6th. We have our kids a grade ahead so they will do Algebra 1 in 8th, if ready. We started using BJU last year and really like the math, plus other subjects.

It is a traditional, mastery approach with chapters on topics. There are quizzes after every 2-3 sections, chapter tests. There is a cumulative review at the end of each chapter. There are word problems throughout, with a special section at the end of the chapter focusing on problem solving.

Here's the chapter topics: Adding/Subtracting Whole Numbers; Multiplying/Dividing Whole Numbers; Adding/Subtracting Decimals; Multiplying/Dividing Decimals; Geometry; Number Theory-Fractions; Adding-Subtracting Fractions; Multiplying/Dividing Fractions; Equations; Ratio-Percent-Proportion; Using Percent; Integers; Perimeter-Area-Volume; Measurement; Sets-Statistics

I hope this helps!

CLE Math 7 here, too -- my 14yo has special needs and he *loves* this math program!

We are using TT7, but are moving through it fairly quickly. We'll be going to TT Pre-Algebra after that.

We used NEM 1, which followed the Singapore primary series that we used in elementary grades.

I used Saxon 1/2 with one, and then we were turned onto Chalkdust Alg, Geo, etc. SO I used Chalkdust Pre-Alg with my second, and I will probably used it here on out with the others.

My 7th grade ds is using Chalkdust geometry. He is advanced in math. Most of my 7th graders have used MUS's algebra/geometry combo book from their "classic" selections. I use it as a pre-alg/pre-geo program followed by Foerster alg in 8th and CD geometry in 9th for my more average math students.

We had to do a big backtrack on math last year, so we are finishing the 6th grade math a bit late. However, when we finish the Saxon math in 3 weeks we're moving to Chalkdust PreAlgebra with Life of Fred for supplements and fun.

Nice fit, great for a "make sure you have it all now before you move on" kind of year. Which is what I am doing with her. :)

My ds 12 is using Chalkdust Prealgebra. He has been doing it for a week so far and likes it.

Right now, dd11 is using Abeka Arithmetic 6 as her main text/workbook with material from the 'Key to' series brought in as needed. :)

My 7th grader is using MUS and Life of Fred. This combo is working well.

I plan to switch soon to Life of Fred and Key to Percents.I'll continue to use a few chapters from R&S but it just isn't really working for dd no matter how much I threaten to hold her back in math if she doesn't do better. She knows how to do the work but all the copying of problems and the way they explain things frustrates her.

my 7th grader is 3/4 of the way through Saxon 76. He will then move onto algebra 1/2
