Most everyone here knows I'm running for city council. I was just quoted in a local newspaper:

"[Development] should not be infringing on areas that should be left alone." :confused:

That's one of *those* statements, IYKWIM. I should have followed it up with a big, fat DUH! Yikes! I certainly don't intend to be one of *those* politicians (non-committal, changes mind frequently, etc).

I thought those of you who like to carefully craft your words would get a kick out of it.

The way I said it, it could be interpreted that development shouldn't take place in the middle of the street, lol.:cool:

This is a great reason to have a website or blog, lol.

Make sure you have SOMEthing online [blog, news-only yahoogroup, etc]where all statements and positions can be clarified. Also --send in a letter to the editor clarifying it.
