Maybe that doesn't make sense.... most good lit will be much higher than her reading level.
Here is what I'm thinking..... I want to have bks dd7 can / will read independently that we can discuss. I want her to be reading good books other than all the random library books & home chapter books she has been devouring. Kwim?
If there isn't really a list of good literature by reading or grade level - what do you suggest for a 2nd/3rd grader who is reading prob a 4th/5th gr level?
(this is for outside of what we are doing as a family read aloud)

The 1000 Good Book List is a great place to start. I'll try to include the link here. If it doesn't take, just do a google search on "1000 Good Book List" and it will pop right up..

I was going to suggest the 1000 Good Book List as well. The books are broken down by grade level. I'd also take a look at the Sonlight and Veritas Press books by grade level.

Here's another link that I've found helpful: http://www.schoolofabraham.com/goodbooks.htm
The Highlands Latin School (Memoria Press) used to have a great summer reading list broken down by grade level, but I can't find it anymore. They must have taken it down.

I'm howling! Someone was just crazy about that dog Seaman, such that it was repeated year after year, upgraded to a much longer book in 5th grade and a great typo of the poor dog's final year in the 7th grade curriculum
