what is the purpose of a buddy list?

You add the people you want to remember or maybe talk to frequently in Private Messages or email.

Then Maybe > > > At the bottom of the screen where all the user names are listed, of those who are online, there will be a + sign beside their name. This lets you know that they are online and you can talk to them. Other forums that are set up like this one, do it that way.

ok.. I just checked and YES when you add someone to your buddy list, you will see a + sign by their name, on the main page, at the bottom of the screen. That lets you know they are online.

I was hoping that the buddy list would allow you to click on their posts more easily. I started one, but after 10 people (and I'm not nearly done yet) whose posts I like to read I'm wondering how large it will get. I didn't ask anyone, either, but I've been reading some people's posts on the smaller boards for 4-5 years and don't want to miss them. Plus others. However, I can't read every single post on the board or I'd be here all day! It would be fun, I'm sure, but I can't do it.
