We got Blokus for Christmas and dh informed me a few weeks ago one of the blue pieces was missing. I kept meaning to call the company to find out about getting a replacement, but never did.
Imagine my surprise when I turned around today and it was sitting on the kitchen table.
I as ds8 about it, and while he was answering ds4 piped up:
Ds4 (excitedly): "I found it Mom!!!"
Me: "Where did you find it?"
Ds4 (proud as a peacock): "It was in my pocket!!!"

When DD had just turned 4, she had a very cute little plaid flannel shirt from Gymboree (gotta love those garage sale finds) that had two chest pockets with buttoned flaps.
DH took her on a field trip to a Mexican restaurant where they had a tortilla making machine, and each child was given some tortilla dough to play with while the machine was demonstrated. Now, DD could not consistently work buttons yet at that point, so I normally didn't check pockets with buttons. But, when she got home I noticed that she appeared to have 'developed' in front. I looked in those pockets, and she had rolled the dough into long 'snakes' and worked them into the pockets without unbuttoning them. Too cute! I was just glad that they didn't go through the wash that way.
She was really proud of herself for figuring out what to do with the dough without making a mess.
