I am fall/winter. Love the smells, the chill in the air, pumpkins, apples, sweaters, coco, curling up inside while it's to chili outside, all the holidays within this time. Love everything about it. Oh and no humidity. It's Sept finally.... Living in the south I do so enjoy Spring and all everything blooming. Summer well I muddle through but I do love bbq's and we have one just about every weekend. But all that said give this New England Yankee Fall and Winter.

I tend to be a "whatever the next season is" person.

I'm working hard on being a "whatever the season is now" person.

I love Spring, until I want it warm consistently. I love Summer, until it gets too hot. I love Fall until I'm ready for snow. I love Winter until I'm ready for blooms on the trees and going outside.

I love spring and fall. Both have wonderful aromas in the air, crisp mornings which invigorate me. It's warm, but not ridiculously hot (we don't begin fall until mid-October in TX). The variety of flowers and colors splashed all about are gorgeous.

:iagree: Fall and Winter. For the same reasons. I Love cold fronts, and I love the "quiet" of winter, when everything is sleeping. I just wish we had more of it.

I love fall. Unfortunately we now live in southern Arizona where the seasons are warm, hot and *#%& hot. :001_smile: I'm jealous that other people are starting fall and we are still over 100 here.

In NC I love the weather during these times. Beautiful Spring Flowers, Leaves turning all shades of colors, nice cool weather without being cold. Unfortunately my Bipolar Disorder likes those time of the years too so I usually struggle through them but even during all that I can take the time to enjoy.

I'm one great big odd ball here! I love summer. I love the heat. I want bare feet. I don't like wearing pants, don't like winter fashion, don't like boots and jackets and hate getting cold... yuck!

I don't mind spring and summer - they are lovely and I do enjoy the crisp air... just a little.

But, I love the smell of watering the hot earth - the evening cool that is not cold, watching the great white owl take flight at sunset (okay, he does this other times of the year, too!), love the sundresses.

That said, I live in dry heat. I might change my mind if there were humidity!

Fall / Winter all the way. I am so much happier then. No heat, no mosquitoes, no sweaty armpits! I love the holidays. I love that no one is inviting me to a picnic in 90 degree weather then. No humidity.

I feel like I breathe better in the fall and winter too.

Hurry up autumn!

I am a fall/spring...I don't like the extremes.

My favorite is fall though...love the changing leaves, the coolness in the air, pumpkins, stew cooking on the stove top, baking and not worrying about heating up the house, ect.

I'm a spring & fall person too! I adore spring, that my fave--saying good-bye to winter, seeing new flowers blooming, I adore flowers! And fall is my next fave, seeing leaves change color, the trees... Don't like the extremes of summer and winter--and we are planning to move to FL--lol! Mostly because I truly hate the cold!

Okay, okay -- I really do like Spring more than Winter, but I like the winter holidays.

I love it when the perennials pop through, but then I know the mosquitoes will start up, and because summer is so close, it actually ruins spring for me.

:iagree: One of my favorite quotes is by Jim Elliot: "Wherever you are, be all there." I'm working on it. Summers in Mississippi are hard, though. I'm ready for the cooler fall weather. I do appreciate something in all the seasons though. I think Spring is my favorite, but I do love the fall. Can I be a Fall/Spring person and just skip Winter and Summer?:001_smile:

I am a spring/fall person, I hate the extreme temps in the other 2 seasons. I like the crisp air in the morning and night of spring and fall, with the cool but pleasant afternoons.

I'm more of a Fall/Spring person. Love the changes in the weather! Next I'd be a Winter person. lastly - Summer. Growing up in S. California summer was too hot/smoggy - now in Illinois it is too humid/mosquito-infested.

And here I opened this thread thinking it was about fashion.

I'm spring/fall. I love the changes during these two seasons. Summer is too hot and winter is too cold. I'm a fair weather gal. Fall is my favorite though. Each year as the leaves begin to change color and the air gets crisp, I find I can't stay inside. I want to jump in a pile of leaves and pick apples and visit the pumpkin patch. I even convinced my big kids to go to the pumpkin patch with me last year and they laughed to see me behave like such a little kid.
________________
Since krazzymommy mentioned fashion, these are also the colors that look best on me. I'm officially a spring, but I love fall colors for my wardrobe and for my house.

Fall/Winter all the way!!!! I can barely tolerate Spring, and I'm content in the Summer, but, in the Fall and Winter I'm exhilerated and so peaceful and happy it's ridiculous. So what does God do? He moves me to the "Land of Eternal Spring".:glare: I think He's trying to tell me something?:001_huh:

I absolutely cannot stand fall and winter! I love spring and summer and the long, hot days. I really think I have a (mild) case of SAD. I find fall and winter to be very depressing times of year. It's so cold and so dark and so dreary -- I think the only value in them at all is the holidays.

There's nothing sadder to me than the sight of a tree without any leaves on it.

So -- I think I'm the lone ranger here -- I'm definitely a spring and summer person!:001_smile:

Nope! Not the only one - I agree with you. I hate when the hours of sunlight start getting shorter and I don't like the bitter cold of winter. I do enjoy an occassional snowstorm and the fall leaves are pretty when they are changing but I love spring and summer the best!

Fall/winter gal here. Of course, it could just be because I live in the desert and it's the only time of year that I don't burn my hands on the steering wheel. Then again, it's still hot in fall so maybe I'm just a winter person. :o)

Fall/Winter for sure. Love when we get a cold front. Of course living in FL we don't get Fall until December :D I envy those who actually have a real Fall with the changing leaves. We try to get north during that time every year.

Fall/Winter, and it's a good thing too, since there's not much spring or summer in our area. I love to curl up with a good book in front of the fire. The chill is already in the air and I love it! In the low 40s each morning. So fall is here already and considering our last snow was June 12, I'd say we skipped spring altogether and had a very short summer.

Spring/Fall. I can't stand Summer or Winter. If I had my way it'd be 65-75 degrees out year long...btw, WITH sun because I also don't like rainy, gloomy, overcast, etc.

Winter!:hurray:

I love winter - and the snowier, the better. :D

Sledding, skiing, skating, having snowball fights, building snowforts, creating snowmen with parsnip noses, dishes of crunchy snow flavoured with koolaid..... yep, definitely a winter person. :)

I hate winter. It is brown and white and cold and snowy, and it lasts too long.

I love May through October. After that, winter sets in for a (too) long haul.

I'll take a long, hot, humid summer any day over a long, cold winter.

I'm mostly spring and summer.

I love spring because everything comes alive again. The trees get buds and then leaves and blooms. The flowers come out again. Everything is green. They days get longer. The mornings are cool and light and full of hope. The afternoons are warm and sunny. It definitely improves my moods and outlook when spring comes around. We have lots of picnics and play outside a lot.

I also love summer because it is so free. I have a summer birthday, too. And I love the consistently warm/hot weather. We go swimming a lot, catch lightening bugs, lie in the hammock, keep lots of popsicles or ice cream treats in the freezer, go on vacation or special trips.

I used to dread fall and really despise it when I was young. I think much of it may be that I associated fall with going back to school, even though I liked school for much of my childhood. And it also meant the end of summer and hot weather, which I loved. It was kind of depressing to me when the leaves all fell off the trees and the weather turned cold, and we knew we were in for a long winter (in Ohio). But when I was in college, I learned to like fall. Maybe it was because I loved college, so I didn't feel the sense of impending doom when school started again. And I began to appreciate the beauty of the leaves changing color, and to even enjoy the cool weather when you needed a sweater or jacket, but not a coat.

I've never really been a winter person, though. I love the first snowfall because it seems romantic and whimsical to me. And I love the holidays, but I really don't like the long stretch of cold weather and the lack of sunlight.
