Which Prentice Hall Earth Science?

Hi Everyone!

I am researching the PH Earth Science texts for my 8th gr. dd this year. I am unsure if I should get the Middle School or High School level. I am going to couple the text w/the Teaching Co. videos on Geology. Science is not our strongest subject, but I don't want something that is geared more for 6th/7th grade. My dd will be 14 in January.

I'd appreciate advice/suggestions.

I think I have the middle school level of Animals and it is kinda light. But I do not mind light since for geography we are using Runkles, which is a bit heavy for 7th grade. So it balances out.

To clarify, I was looking at the high school level Earth Science, and the Middle School level that is part of a 3-book series.
