Dd has had bi-focals since she was about four and half. She's going to be 10 and the eye dr. decided to try her without bi-focals. She just got them today, so we'll see how it goes. I've thought at times that she was looking over them anyway, but then later after her appointment last time we came home and she said, "I do use my bi-focals) So they said today when we picked them up that if she has problems to just let us know. I know it's going to take a few days to get used to different glasses. Her eyes are odd too because one is far sighted and one is near sighted. Anyone else this way? or just have a child go from a bi-focal to just regular glasses?
Thanks,
Kristine

I don't remember having problems making the change. I am very, very nearsighted, and eventually went over to gas-permeable contact lenses, which had a very, very good effect. The rapid rate at which my eyes were changing all but stopped with my contact lenses.
Not very specific, but I hope it helps.
The dr. just changed dd's prescription. She's worn bifocals for about 3 years now. She hasn't rec'd the glasses yet, though.
Does your daughter have hers yet? Has she had any complaints?

She just got them today, so it's hard telling...I told her it would take a few days to "adjust" to the new prescription, she wasn't seeing well at all in the distance, so these should be an improvement.
Blessings,
Kristine
