Has anyone participated in a Lego Robotics class?

I am thinking of signing my sons (12 & 8) Up for the class this spring. Is this something your kids have Loved?

Yes, my ds12 did it twice. Very fun.

I'm teaching one and did a First Lego League Team. They can be lots of fun. And the kids can learn basic programming and engineering principles. My son is 10. My dd likes doing Lego Robotics and shes almost 14. There are adults doing Lego NXT robotics.

He has had two so far of Lego Mindstorms. Last semester he did a Lego beginning physics class using a Lego duplo kit. For this Lego-loving son, it has been wonderful. He looks forward to every class session. (The teacher is also amazing.)

It has been a big financial chunk of our homeschool budget (those Mindstorms kits are expensive!), but if your kids like Legos, I would say it is worth it!

we're doing one at our co-op using mindstorms and the Mayan Adventures book. But we're still brand new to it. My guys are convinced that any class w/ legos is great tho, lol.

They were very fun! Both kids (ages 13 and 11) really enjoyed them, and we ended up buying them a set for Christmas. They still play with it, for what that's worth. Highly recommended.
