This has been a bust of a week. Kids are coming down with colds -- ie emotional and the like. Factor in cramps, several doctor's visits, family drama, and wonky test results ---- and voila -- we need a day off!
Anyone want to join in the fun of just hanging out and playing with Legos with a tiny bit of house maintenance thrown in? Next week is a new week -- right?

Us!
We'll do the minimum of housework and have some friends over to hang out/visit/eat brownies. We *might* do math, but probably not.
And yes. Next week is a new week (all God's children say, "Amen!").

We're taking today off because we're having our small group from church here tonight and I don't have time to do school, AND clean the house, AND have a nap.
The nap is the critically important part since Schmooey is up 2, 3, sometimes 4 times per night right now. It's about to kill me.
All this work I'm supposed to be doing? That's exactly why I'm here, typing this message. Bwa ha ha ha! Feeling a little punchy..... back to the dishwasher.:p

Fridays are typically mental health days for me. Today, I'm going to the Salvation Army book sale, ALONE!

We did double lessons yesterday in order to have today off. It's wonderful! :D I've gone shopping, got groceries, hit the car wash and bakery. Tomorrow I'm going to tour the Residence...it's on my blog if you want to see pictures...just click the link. I'm so excited.
Enjoy your mental health day!
Cheers:D

DD is giddy with joy! She asked if we could take off the day and then--viola--we see your post.
Guess we'll do spelling quiz and math...and head to the gym for some physical health days :)

3/5 of us have been *really* sick for 2 weeks now. This week has seen very little school work get done. *sigh*
Part of me feels so far behind that I want to push them today. The other part says that it's Friday and next week is a new week, we can double up on some stuff (like our read-aloud and/or history readings), we can do some math tomorrow, blah, blah, blah.
On the other hand, I think schooling a little bit throughout the summer isn't such a bad idea after all....
So yeah, take the day off. :D

Well, MY gang is headed off skiing--as they do every Friday afternoon. They did a third of the Cognitive Abilities tests, chores and music and they still have to feed deer and the neighbor's dogs. But the rest of the day is PLAYTIME!

Ooh, ME! My hubby is taking off work early so he can go get my vehicle registered and everything and then I will finally have a car to drive around (it arrived at the shipping place on Monday but sans tags ). Plus, daughter's bed is being delivered today (we had to order one since this is the first time she's had her own room). So, I think we're just going to clean today and do science.

and hubby took kiddo to the caucuses so I could nap (hah!). I'm scratching my favourite itch....hunting for really cheap books mentioned in TWTM on the internet. Hubby got energetic and cleaned the WHOLE house yesterday, even my bathroom, under my bed, and dusted the artwork in my room. I feel like I died and went to heaven.

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but this was much needed! I have been trying to catch up on laundry, cleaning out the bedroom (new bed being delivered on Monday!), researching some curriculum, and relaxing. Very nice!
