For the record, my son says he's going to run for POTUS one day.
I'm *so* not looking forward to how *I'm* going to be criticized when the time comes! :tongue_smilie:
(Now to just turn him into a liberal...)

ROFL- My daughter was very anti-Hillary. Then, when Hillary gave her speech at the convention, dd was all into it. I asked her why she changed her tune so fast.
"She's no longer a threat to me, mom. I want to be the first woman President."

Oh, I love the way she thinks!
My 5 year old just declared that she wants to be the first woman on the moon. She's already a space cadet. ;)

Oh, he is *highly aware, and extremely frustrated. Anytime a political commercial comes on, he starts ranting about how everyone is lying. It's led to some interesting conversations. I'm so glad we're working on logic!
I've decided that I want our unofficial homeschool name to include "Keaton." Ds10 is the Alex P. to my Elyse. When I first used that analogy, I realized that I also have a dark-haired dd, a blonde dd, and a blond baby; My Mallory, Jennifer, and Andy. We ARE the Keaton family, lol. Dh thinks I'm nuts.:D

My daughter was born in July 2001, and of course we all know what happened in Sept, of that year. We had the TV on the news a lot when she was a baby, and before she turned a year old, she really started to get into the news. Dd LOVED Bush. The way kids run up to the TV when they see Elmo, this is how my daughter was with Bush. She loved to watch CSPAN or CNN and ask, "Who dat?" By the time she was 15 months old, she could tell you who was President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, and more.
I will never forget one night she was in her crib, we had the TV on, and an Elizabeth Dole commercial came on. As soon as dd heard her voice, we hear her shouting from her crib, "Dole! Dole!" It was hilarious.
When dd was 2, we were watching Bush give the State of the Union, he made a comment against gay marriage and dd asked me what it meant. When I told her, she replied, "I want to Spank the President!" We sent this quote in to a contest from Kate Harper greetings cards some time after that, she won, and you can still buy dd's card that says, "I want to Spank the President!"
