I'm looking at buying some geography games and would love some suggestions. I have DS6, who loves and is pretty good at geography and DS11. I was looking at 10 Days in Europe and the Take Off! game I see at Rainbow Resource. Does anyone have an opinion on these or are there other games that your child enjoys and is learning from? Oh, and I just bought Great States but we haven't played it yet.
Thanks!

I enjoyed 10 Days in Europe--my son (13) was non-committal. We like the Professor Noggin games, too (Countries) and Risk (armies across the world).

My boys seem to enjoy the free online geography games at Sheppards Software: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/
Other than that, they like the board game of Risk.

My MIL gave our boys the Which Way USA board game offered by Highlights magazine. They've had fun with it. It definitely reinforces state locations and capitals.

We love Take Off! because you learn the names and locations of lots of cities around the world, and not just countries. And it's a very simple game. Some geography games are rather complicated.
But our favorite game is homemade. I made huge maps on cloths of the different continents and we play Twister (put your right hand on Brazil and your left hand on Peru...). This is by far our favorite geography game.
