Tomorrow's the day. I'm having a hysterectomy (keeping my ovaries). Dh is in Utah until Wednesday so my mom flew in to take care of the girls. I'm nervous for the schoolwork (among other things). I have their assignment sheets done and really only hope to have them get their TOG work done. Everything else can fall by the wayside until I'm recovered but I can't fall behind with TOG. Two of my friends in the area are also using TOG. I started earlier than they did so we aren't competing for books from the library. Would appreciate your prayers that my mom can get it done and that my girls (mostly my 6yo) don't give her a hard time.
I've been waiting for this surgery for a long time and find myself getting nervous, though I'm excited that I won't have pain anymore once recovery is over. The pain has been so bad that it cripples me some days. Please pray that the surgery goes as planned and that all of the little details with my mom, dh, and girls goes well.
TIA!

I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you have an easy recovery! It sounds like you have a good plan w/your girls, so try not to worry about that. :grouphug:

Prayers and :grouphug: that you will feel so much better after this is over! And if things don't go perfectly well with the kids and all, no worries. They are young and being taken care of. So just make sure that you take care of yourself with healing and not worry about the rest, okay! Best of luck for a nice, uneventful recovery.

!
I guess you'll only have to draw one "X"...
I thought the pre-op nurse was joking with me when she asked me what surgery I was having and then asked me to draw an "X" over the "items" that were going to be removed. But when she handed me a sharpie pen I knew she was serious! She also asked me to initial each "X"! I don't know if it was just pre-surgical jitters, but this whole procedure had me in a fit of laughter!
I'll be praying for you and your family! "See" you soon! :)

Thank you all for the prayers. I'm home and doing well, though the meds are making me feel yucky. I'll be back on in a few days when my brain can function a bit better. Surgery went perfectly.
