I love to study and apply myself to intellectual pursuits and my kiddo is getting a tad bit more independent so this may be a good time to explore the idea of taking an online class.

I'd like Latin. I do have my own LfC books and we do this subject together and we have a once/month latin chant class (the emphasis is on the chant, though, and not the latin) but I'd kind of like something more grown up and intensive. I looked at Latinum but that site's kind of a mess and I'd like something with regular meetings.

I'd like Church History but it would absolutely have to be from an authentic Roman Catholic perspective.

Great Books/socratic discussion type class would be really great.

And did I mention dirt cheap or FREE?

Any ideas?

Henle can be had on the cheap (ebay, abebooks, etc)

So can Wheelocks, with more free, online discussion/class options.

So can older high school textbooks on religion, philosophy, logic, etc but no online discussions here.

A lot of Early Church Fathers can be found online ( http://www.ccel.org )

awwww - you're sweet! You know, you can always do a little here and there, though. You just have to find out what you enjoy.

I like your avatar ;).

New Advent's and EWTN's libraries could take you a lifetime to go through. Seriously. EWTN's audio library is also a fantastic source.

I also highly recommend the Didache's History of the Church.

As far as free or cheap classes......no answer there. Regina Coeli offers high school classes that aren't that outrageous. Maybe they would let you audit one as an adult. I have no idea, but you could always ask.
