I have been cleaning out my filing cabinet, and came across this nice teacher's guide when teaching the Viking/Norsemen.
It correlates with a museum exhibit (Smithsonian), but you can also view it online.

It's a great resource.
The "Family Guide" has print versions of exhibits and discussion questions/activities.
