No, he's our 2nd. Bitty was our first.

You do need to brush them every few days - especially around the neck & ears, as that area can tend to mat. I have not found it all that difficult.

Poms are fiercely loyal pets. They like to be with you wherever you go. Find a breeder that breeds for temperament and conformation. Poms, if not bred well, can be snippy and yappy. Mine are very sweet, and are eager to please. They definitely bark when people knock at the door, but they quiet down. They are the cutest little dogs ever! I love their "big heart - big dog" personality. They are fearless, and love the cold, snow, and rain. Definitely not foo-foo dogs.

I will probably always have at least one Pom in our house. I love them. :)
