Question about quoting

Can someone please tell me how to quote someone?

I just can't figure it out. (it must be my pregnantness:))

there's a quote button at the bottom of each post
click it and it will quote the whole text and note the original poster

otherwise you can use [ quote ] text you want quoted goes here [ / quote ]
without the spaces, of course

I tried and it didn't work. However, I just did exactly what the posters said to do and it did work:confused:. Go figure. This is what I did.

I hit the "quote" button at the bottom of their post. Then it took me to the screen where we type our message, and I deleted all the response except the part I wanted to quote. I also didn't delete the [quote by so and so...and the end of the quote]. I left those. Then I arrowed down and typed my message and hit "submit reply" and it worked!:) I hope it works for you, too. :D
