I'm most likely going to be homeschooling my three (currently 4th, 2nd and PK4) once they finish up this year at a private school. The school is good, but they want to be homeschooled and I've also assumed I would homeschool eventually since I fell in love with the idea of a classical education so the timing finally looks right so I've been trying to put some ideas for curriculum together.
Anyway, I'm a published writer (fiction), but have no idea how to teach writing to children. My daughter in 4th grade has used IEW for the past two years at her school and done will with it. I've looked at their website, saw their various programs as well as their ancient history writing unit that would go well with the WTM history I want to do in 5th, but I also saw CW and am intrigued by that.
Are the two programs mutually exclusive or does anyone know if there is a way of somehow using both without totally confusing my daughter about writing? Thanks!
