I'm looking for fairly self-directed stuff for a Biblical worldview type of class and history. What would you suggest? TIA!!!!

Notgrass World History can be self-directed, I believe. There are samples on the site: http://www.notgrass.com/world-history-high-school-curriculum.php

Hey Cindy,
were you considering SL Core 200? I was just looking it over and it looks pretty heavy theologically but parts of it - especially the bible and literature aspects look very interesting.
Although I've never used SL myself I've read at the hs levels it's written to the students.

Notgrass can be very minimal in your involvement as parent/teacher...and the content seems to us to be pretty solid. It is a pretty straight, evangelical, biblical view.
We have not used the world course, rather the us history, but I imagine the flavor would be the same.

I've not used Omnibus, but it sounds like this may work for you. You could also use TOG. Your student could read all the Teacher's notes and answer the questions in the Student Activities section. This is what I did for my oldest dd.

I vote for Omnibus, but you will have to be able to discuss it with dc. If you have your child prepare a written answer to the questions for each session, it will cut down on the time. Excellent course. Add in Spielvogel (whole chapters instead of just the snippets they recommend), and delete some of the reading. JMHO!
